Computer Classes:

Computer Basics I:

May 13 & 14, 1-2:30 pm

June 11 & 18, 10-11:30 am

August 6 & 13, 10-11:30 am

A  program to help the novice learn the basics.  The class will start at the absolute beginning: computer parts and terminology, driving a mouse, and using the Internet .

Note: Classes fill up fast.  Call ASAP to register @ 237-7340. Free. Registration required by calling  Information Services @ 237-7340.

Computer Basics II:

You know the basics and you’re ready to learn more. . .

Managing your computer:

June 17, 10-11:30 am
or
August 5, 10-11:30 am

This session is for the beginning computer user and will include a description of the Windows XP desktop, taskbar, start menu, and will describe how to create new files, new folders, and how to organize your computer.

Microsoft Word for beginners:

June 24 & July 1, 10-11:30 am
or
August 12 & 19, 10-11:30 am

This session is for the beginning computer user and will include how to use the basic features of this word processing program.

The classes are free, but registration is required by calling 237-7340.

 

Computer Tidbits:

Short demos of different computer applications. Free. Walk-ins welcome.

Mysteries of the Michigan Room
July 2 or August 27, 10-11 am

Learn what treasures actually lie behind the locked cabinets in the library's Michigan Room...see special features of the room, view rare books and learn to use the new digital microfilm machine. Did you know that you can convert your old 35mm fil and slides to adigital format with this machine?
