Warren Holmes: His Life and Work A person’s work often survives him while details of his life may be lost. How a farm boy from Fowlerville became an architect known for his innovative approach to designing school buildings. Warren Holmes was the original architect for the school building that now houses the Charlevoix Public Library. Our speaker Jean Bolley’s father was a nephew to Warren Holmes. He worked with his uncle and continued with the firm after Mr. Holmes’ death.

Genealogy in an Internet World This series of classes for novice genealogists focuses on searching for your ancestors on the Internet. The class will be taught by professional genealogist, Carol Goodenough, and her associate, Barb Hernden. Both have been doing genealogy, personally and for clients, for many years and are currently leading a monthly interest group at the Charlevoix Public Library. April 16 - Traditional Genealogy Methods and Introduction to Internet Research Genealogists need to follow traditional methods whether they are using the Internet or not. Use of four generation charts, family group charts and a home search will be introduced.
