Kindermusik: Ages Birth-5
1 week: August 3
Group 1: Birth-2 years, 6:30-7:00 pm
Group 2: 2-5 years, 7:15-7:45 pm

Kindermusik helps your child develop early literacy & language skills, acquire reasoning & early math skills, increase self-control, cultivate a lifelong love of music & have a fun time @ the library. An adult/child interactive program

Elementary: Grades K-4
August 3, 6:30 pm: Craft - Backyard Bird Feeder
August 10, 5:30-7:30 pm: Youth Craft Show

Tween: Grades 5-8
August 3, 6:30 pm: Freshwater & Us

Kids! Create a craft & earn money this summer. Run your own craft booth & sell your crafts at the library's craft show for youth.

Kathryn Diamond from the Detroit Institute of Arts will teach you Visual Thinking Strategies, a new approach to how you look at art to enhance your ability to form an opinion. We will look at a collection the library owns, and then continue to the Circle of Arts for a reception and experience an actual ongoing art show. All ages welcome

Cartoon FUNdamentals...Family Style!

Cartoonist Dick Evans will teach you how to create your own cartoons. Family program - all ages welcome.

Writing Center
Two essential steps in literary development are talking and writing experiences. At the writing center, children can practice the basics of print, alphabet recognition, writing and receiving letters.
