Fun Things to See Inside the Youth Section

Alphabet Caterpillar

We needed a little color from a furry friend! An ABC caterpillar now sits on top of the Beginning Reader shelf.

AWE Computer Stations

We have 2 computers that are bilingual Spanish computers for ages 2 - 10 years old.

Games, stories and other educational programs are on these AWEsome computers.

There is also a child safety internet browser that you can install on your home computer available. This browser is designed to help your child find safe, child-friendly programs without the parent/caregiver having to worry about what content your child is viewing.

Book Tree

We have a tree that holds book kits that come in backpacks for check out. Lots of the new kits have puppets or stuffed animals inside.

Cubbie Toys

Each cubby has a different toy to offer your child. Play develops muscle dexterity, hand-eye coordination, cooperative play and readiness for reading. Cubbie contents are switched out on a regular basis, so suprises await each time you come to the library!

Cubbies are organized by age and color:

  • Blue Bins: Ages birth - 2 years
  • Yellow Bins: Ages 2-3 years
  • Red Bins: Ages 4 + years

Funky Mirror
