Alphabet Caterpillar
We needed a little color from a furry friend! An ABC caterpillar now sits on top of the Beginning Reader shelf.

AWE Computer Stations
We have 2 computers that are bilingual Spanish computers for ages 2 - 10 years old.
Games,stories and other educational programs are on these AWEsome computers.

There is also a child safety internet browser that you can install on your home computer available. This browser is designed to help your child find safe, child-friendly programs without the parent/caregiver having to worry about what content your child is viewing.
Book Tree
We have a tree that holds book kits that come in backpacks for check out. Lots of the new kits have puppets or stuffed animals inside.

Cubbie Toys
Each cubby has a different toy to offer your child. Play develops muscle dexterity, hand-eye coordination, cooperative play and readiness for reading. Cubbie contents are switched out on a regular basis, so suprises await each time you come to the library!

Cubbies are organized by age and color:
- Blue Bins: Ages birth - 2 years
- Yellow Bins: Ages 2-3 years
- Red Bins: Ages 4 + years
Funky Mirror
It's a mirror that plays tricks with your body image - instantly!

Mini Lego Table
Stack towers and arrange Legos by color.
Poetry Fridge Word Play
Come and make a sentence on our poetry fridge.

Fun Things to See Outside in Grandma Geri's Garden
Garden Instruments
3 wonderful instruments were permanently installed in Grandma Geri's Children's Garden by Tom Kaufman of Traverse City. Come to the garden and see what kind of tune you can drum up!
- Lithophone: made of granite - to be played with rocks

- Aerophone: made of used PVC pipe - to be played with flipflops

- Amadinda: made of old pallet wood - to be played with wooden mallets
