A SECTION OF BRIDGE STREET

The stores pictured above were located on the west side of Bridge Street just south of the Odd Fellows building, a part of it being visible in the upper right corner.

From left to right: A bakery (next to the alley), the E. J. Todd Bootery, the M. S. Moulton Jewelry shop, and a Tin Shop that was owned by M. J. Stockman. The A. Buttars building, which housed the clothing store of Geo. Miller, and the frame building in which Charlevoix's first drug store, owned by George Crouter, was established, were across the street.

At the present time the site is occupied by the Charlevoix Abstract & Engineering SCo., and summer shops, which come and go.

A DOUBLE TOW

A double tow headed for Pine Lake to pick up a load of lumber from the busy mills at Boyne City and East Jordan.
