The Charlevoix Public Library strives to teach relevant tech classes that help our patrons make their way through an increasingly technology driven world. We are always open to suggestions for future classes and if you have an idea or desire for a future class please contact us using the Ask a Librarian form at the bottom of this page.

eBook & hoopla Drop In

Tuesday, January 30 6:00 – 7:00 pm | Thursday, February 28 3:00 – 4:00 pm

Want to learn how to get eBooks for free through your library? Have you had issues in the past and want to know how to get books easier? Come in during our drop in eBook help time to ask questions and learn more about getting eBooks through your library. We will also be introducing our new library service, hoopla, which will allow you to borrow books, audiobooks, music, and more with your library card! Located in the large study room in the Adult area. No registration is required!

Computer Take Apart

Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program used for storing, organizing, and manipulating data.  Within this course participants will learn how to design a spreadsheet, enter text and numerical data, format both text and numerical data, use formulas, and sort and filter information within a spreadsheet.

Instagram for Beginners

Wednesday, February 28 10:30 am – 12:00 pm | Community Room

Learn how to use Instagram on your tablet or phone! Instagram is a social media site which focuses on photography and short videos. In this class you will learn how to sign up and use your new Instagram account to follow other people and to upload and share your own photos.
