The Charlevoix Public Library strives to teach relevant tech classes that help our patrons make their way through an increasingly technology driven world. We are always open to suggestions for future classes and if you have an idea or desire for a future class please contact us using the Ask a Librarian form at the bottom of this page.

eBook Drop In

Want to learn how to get eBooks for free through your library? Have you had issues in the past and want to know how to get books easier? Come in during our drop in eBook help time to ask questions and learn more about getting eBooks through your library. We will also be introducing Overdrive’s new app, Libby, an easier way to read eBooks on your phone or tablet. Located in the large study room in the Adult area. No registration is required!

Excel for Beginners

Tuesday, September 19 & Thursday, September 21 at 6:00 pm (Two Part Class) | Coeling Computer Center

Microsoft Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program used for storing, organizing, and manipulating data.  Within this course participants will learn how to design a spreadsheet, enter text and numerical data, format both text and numerical data, use formulas, and sort and filter information within a spreadsheet.

Twitter is a social media platform focused on short discussions and conversations – or microblogging. You will learn why you may want to make an account, how to make an account, and how to make use of that account.

Online technology training is available for Charlevoix Public Library patrons through the Atomic Training Database. You will get access to video tutorials on many different technology subjects including Microsoft products, Apple products, Adobe software, and many others.
