The Charlevoix Public Library provides free access to powerful research databases via the Internet. 

Databases are helpful when you want to find specific information on a variety of topics. They contain popular press and scholarly articles, encyclopedic entries, and are rich with content. They are simple to search and contain accurate and current information.

This “one-stop” for homework (grades 6-college) and research center provides information on geography, literature, history and science. Full text articles are available from current magazines, newspapers, and reference books.
Uses: Homework projects, term papers, current events and topical research.

 

Novels for Students:

 

This e-book collection provides plot summary, characters, themes, style, historical context, author biographies
and a critical overview for over 500 novels.

Uses: High school and college students for English and literature class projects. Readers will find info on their favorite authors and books

 

 

Find information quickly and easily by searching this encyclopedia, magazines, journals, the Web’s Best Sites, media clips and Britannica videos. It includes an atlas, timelines, world data, and news of the day. A dictionary, thesaurus and quotation directory is also available.

Uses: For students (6-12) and adults.
